Zoom Events Analytics
Role: Lead Product Designer
Team: Product, Engineering, Data, Research, Content
Timeline: June 25’- January 26’
Impact: Increased MRR by 15% and reduced customer churn
Zoom Events hosts power millions of virtual and hybrid experiences, but lacked clear visibility into how their events were performing. Hosts struggled to understand attendance trends, engagement, and conversion, which made it difficult to improve future events or demonstrate ROI.
I led design for a wholesale redesign of our Events Analytics platform that gives hosts a clear, actionable view of their event performance. Partnering closely with product and engineering, I defined the product vision, user experience, and interaction patterns from concept through launch.
We focused on surfacing the metrics that matter most to hosts, simplifying complex data into understandable visualizations, and enabling quick insights without overwhelming users. Through rapid prototyping, usability testing, and iterative design, we delivered a scalable analytics experience that helps hosts answer key questions like who attended, how people engaged, and what drove outcomes.
The result was a highly adopted analytics platform that increased MRR and contributed to reduced customer churn, while establishing a foundation for future reporting and insights across Zoom Events.
